Are you a passionate and skilled Dance teacher ready to inspire the next generation of performers? The school is seeking a dedicated Dance Teacher to join their team full-time from January or February (start date to be confirmed). This is an exciting opportunity to continue delivering high-quality dance education, including GCSE Dance classes, within a supportive and dynamic environment.
As a Dance Teacher, you will:
* Deliver engaging and creative dance lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with a focus on GCSE Dance.
* Prepare students for assessments, including practical and theoretical components, ensuring high achievement levels.
* Contribute to the broader performing arts curriculum and extra-curricular activities, such as dance clubs and school productions.
* Plan and deliver lessons that inspire creativity, develop technique, and encourage confidence.
* Maintain high expectations for student behaviour and achievement in line with school policies.
* Collaborate with the Performing Arts team to enhance the department's vision and success.
The ideal candidate will:
* Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent with a specialism in Dance.
* Have experience teaching Dance at secondary level, including GCSE classes.
* Be confident in teaching both practical and theoretical components of Dance.
* Demonstrate strong subject knowledge and a passion for the performing arts.
* Be an enthusiastic and inspiring educator who motivates students to excel.
* Have excellent communication and organisational skills.
