A successful and expanding Building Services Contracting company is looking to appoint an Electrical Project Manager to help support and deliver their expanding schedule of works. Based in Rochdale, Greater Manchester, potential candidates should live within a commutable distance of the office and be able to provide assistance by means of site visits mostly in the North West but with the ability to travel nationally when required.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing projects from inception to completion within set timescales and budgets, ranging from £50,000 - £1,000,000. It is important that you are comfortable working on multiple projects at any one time and have a track record of delivering projects across a variety of sectors in a fast-paced and demanding environment. The projects range from commercial office space, education, healthcare, residential, and other types of commercial properties, so understanding the technical elements of the projects will be essential.
The Rochdale-based outfit is looking for an ambitious and entrepreneurial Electrical Project Manager who is looking for a long-term role within the business, which has been organically growing since its inception more than 10 years ago. Progression is very much supported here, so you should expect this to be a starting point with this business.
Responsibilities:
1. Lead the charge in managing electrical projects from conception to completion, ensuring on-time delivery and adherence to budgetary constraints.
2. Collaborate closely with our Mechanical division to orchestrate seamless joint project executions.
3. Shape the future by contributing to the creation of electrical tenders and overseeing contract management.
4. Monitor project performance, identifying potential risks and implementing effective solutions.
5. Guide and nurture a team of skilled engineers, providing mentorship and support to drive excellence.
6. Implement health and safety practices, maintaining compliance across all project sites.
7. Forge strong relationships with suppliers to build a great working relationship.
Experience:
1. A strong background in electrical project management delivery.
2. Recognised qualifications such as NVQ level 3, HND / HNC, City & Guilds in Electrical Installation.
3. Experience interpreting tender documents and specifications.
4. In-depth knowledge of relevant regulations and legislation.
5. Strong leadership and communication skills, complemented by a willingness to help others.
6. IT proficiency and familiarity with a range of industry software.
7. A passion for driving results and a commitment to delivering excellence.
