Cover Supervisor for KS3/KS4 – Day to Day Supply Role
Location: Derbyshire - Chesterfield, Bolsover, Worksop
Salary: Earn up to £550 per week
About the Role:
Connex Education are currently working closely with a range of academies and schools based in Derbyshire and north Nottinghamshire who are seeking regular support from Cover Supervisors. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work across several schools, within a 40-minute radius of your home address. This role allows you to experience a variety of school environments as relief cover in place of the class teacher. The work will always be provided for you by the qualified teacher; you will be responsible for promoting learning, classroom management, and ensuring completion of work left by the class teacher. This is a casual relief role involving day-to-day supply with flexibility to work around your lifestyle.
Assignment Details:
For the Cover Supervisor role, we have staggered start dates; you can start immediately or later in the school year. Once employed, there will be opportunities for the rest of the academic year and into the 2025/2026 academic year, providing you with consistent work during term time. This can offer flexibility in terms of working patterns to match your needs, whether you desire to work 1 to 5 days per week.

Person Specification:
* Have some experience working with young people in either a school setting or a similar environment (e.g., NCS, sports coaching)
* Be confident in your ability to lead a class of children aged 11-16 years.
* Be able to work well with challenging behaviour.
* Hold strong communication skills, both oral and written.
* Punctual and organised
* Willing to undergo continual professional training.
* Be reliable and committed to working within an education environment
* Able to work effectively under pressure and ‘think on your feet’
* Ambitious and enthusiastic with a ‘can do’ attitude and good sense of humour.
* Be able to commute to schools around Derbyshire and surrounding areas.
