Purpose of the Role
The Head of Education & Artistic Planning will lead on the curation and creative development of the Foundation’s Programmes and Tutor teams, manage the commissioning of new works, and foster partnerships to support transformative and inclusive music education.
They will deeply understand the Artistic Director’s vision, and bring this to fruition through creative, pedagogically-informed programme development and closely liaising with our wider range of freelance Tutor teams, music services, educational institutions and other partners. They will also play a vital role in ensuring that the Artistic Director remains connected to the frontline of the industry and that the direction and offer of The Benedetti Foundation maintains keen relevance and continues to creatively develop in response to industry need.

Job Requirements
This role may be ideal for you if you:
* Have specialist strings knowledge, with the ability to read music and understand orchestrations and differentiation of parts, and possessing a good understanding and knowledge of string pedagogy and progressive repertoire.
* Are able to engage and communicate effectively with music teachers, understanding their professional language, recognising effective pedagogical methods, and evaluating the quality of instruction.
* Embody the values and ethos of The Benedetti Foundation, demonstrating personal creative flair and confidence while aligning with the wider organisational vision and representing the Artistic Director’s creative direction.
* Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with proven experience in managing relationships, confidently engaging stakeholders at all levels, and representing the Foundation in various settings.

* Leading on the curation and creative development of the Foundation’s Programmes, continually deepening the quality of creative planning, learning, teaching and wider delivery.
* Leading on repertoire selection and commissioning.
* Maintaining and nurturing positive relationships with our freelance teams, attending Foundation activity around the UK where appropriate.
* Developing and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders, including primary schools, instrumental teachers, Residency Partners (e.g. Music Services/Hubs), and Higher Education providers.
* Actively monitoring trends and developments in the music, pedagogy, and wider sectors to ensure the Foundation’s Programmes remain relevant and accurately and effectively support the sector.
