Senior Assessor/ Trainer/ Coach for Healthcare Apprentices
Clinical Experience Essential For This Role
Please note: the role involves hybrid working, and cross-site working.
The purpose of the role is to design, develop and coordinate formal/informal coaching and teaching sessions within programmes and events. Conduct and evaluate teaching, assessment and examinations, in line with Awarding Body requirements and Health Care Apprenticeship standards, and provide structured feedback to relevant parties. Carry out Quality Assurance in line with Awarding Body, EPAO requirements and the apprenticeship provider Quality Assurance strategy. To support the identified development needs of Trust staff, in-line with the Trust’s training strategies, policies and governing bodies. The post holder will also design, plan, organise, implement, deliver and evaluate training programmes for learners undertaking Health Care Apprenticeships.
Responsibilities
* Design, develop and coordinate curriculum teaching programmes to meet apprentices’ learning needs, including Functional skills English and Maths up to Level 2.
* Create tasks to facilitate the apprentices’ learning and development, ensuring they meet the apprenticeship standard and curriculum requirements.
* Develop training materials to support teaching delivery.
* Set up equipment to facilitate the delivery of teaching.
* Deliver teaching and learning using a variety of teaching methods to meet the learning styles of the apprenticeship group profile.
* Plan assessment activities with the apprentice using appropriate assessment methods.
* Deliver teaching in accordance with framework and standard guidelines and functional skills.
* Provide verbal and documented feedback regarding learners’ individual SMART targets and behaviours.
* Monitor, record and respond to all apprentice and employer feedback and evaluation and update Sector Lead.
* Following evaluation, restructure teaching programmes, if appropriate.
* Coordinate functional skills training and monitor apprentices’ progress ensuring their learning needs are met.
* Quality assure the assessment process in accordance with Awarding Body requirements and the Centre’s Quality Assurance strategy.
