Sitting within a high-caliber and multifaceted Client Services team, working closely with the agency’s Creative, Creative Production, PR & Brand teams, the Account Director role is responsible for leading existing and new client accounts within the agency and will support the Client Services Director, CEO and business partners in developing strategies for business development and bringing new business, building influential relationships with a range of key clients. You will always strive to improve processes and smooth running of the Client Services department, and improve cross-department collaboration where possible.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Account Management/Directorship
* Nurturing client accounts by building new and existing client relationships through regular communications and liaisons with clients at a senior, strategic level to ensure they remain with Diva
* Evaluating and analyzing client reports and financial performance, identifying opportunities and resolving issues
* Reporting key financial and client overviews to the agency’s senior leadership team with weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports on client activity & profitability
* Ensuring projects are completed to deadlines and to a high specification and within budget, and that best practice client services are delivered across all accounts with customer satisfaction, with an ability to not only get involved with work, but also successfully delegate to the supporting team
New Business/Commercials
* Proactively identifying and driving new business activity to grow our client base, responsibly for driving the Creative & Production P&L
* Leading and spearheading the process of pitching fresh and innovative ideas to new and existing clients
* Negotiating estimates and agency fees with client decision makers, including suppliers and partners
* Understanding and sharing knowledge of your clients’ business, positioning Diva as a true partner
* Commercially astute, ensuring jobs within Client Services are accurately scoped and managed to meet profit targets. Ability to forecast client growth, working collaboratively and delegating as appropriate to Senior Account Managers, other Account Directors and the Client Services Director.
Department and Team Contributions
* Mentoring and developing the Client Services team to deliver creative campaigns. Manage and support employee performance through regular 1- 2- 1 reviews, appraisals, ongoing training, and coaching. Proactively deal with any employee relation issues within the team
* Maintaining a detailed awareness of relevant market trends and developments in the wider advertising and communications industry. This includes but is not limited to video game releases, industry events and announcements
* Ensuring timelines and deadlines are met across the team
* Line-manage and/or mentor Account Executives, Account Managers, and Senior Account Managers in the Client Services team, fostering their growth and skill development, supporting their own line management responsibilities
* Promote continual improvement and a culture of excellence and accountability through excellence of work, improved working practices and practical expertise
* Drive the development and improvement of the Client Services internal processes

PROFESSIONAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
* A senior client services professional with relevant experience in leadership and business growth
* Commercially aware with a proven track record in client development, managing high level client relationships, growing accounts, and winning new business
* Experienced in creating and delivering pitches with senior agency leadership and senior creatives
* Experienced in delivering financial reports and managing pipeline development
* An inspirational and empathetic leader with excellent communication skills and previous experience of developing and nurturing a team
* An adaptable and flexible team player, able to collaborate with others and act in the best interest of the business and its people
