Senior CT/MRI Radiographer

20hr hours per week (flexible days)
Nuffield Health is Britain’s largest not-for-profit healthcare organisation and at Brighton Nuffield Health, we are looking for an exceptional CT/MRI Radiographer with CT Cardiac, CT Colon, MRI Cardiac, and MRI Breast experience. If not, our great team will be happy to provide training.
As a Senior CT/MRI Radiographer:
* Work within our busy, friendly Radiology team, using the MRI Siemens SOLA 1.5T and the CT Siemens Go.Top, both very recently installed
* Undertake CT & MRI examinations without direct supervision which are protocoled by you and Radiologists, seeking advice where required
* Supervise and develop more junior staff
* Perform imaging examinations with due regard to patient’s privacy and dignity and taking into account the supplied clinical information and their physical/mental status
* Remain proficient in the use of all equipment used throughout all Modalities
* Develop an understanding of local protocols and contribute to referral vetting processes
* Ensure equipment is safe and fit for purpose, informing senior staff of any faults
* Work with leading practitioners and new practices, equipment, and facilities
The person
To succeed as a CT/MRI Radiographer you will need:
* A BSC degree in diagnostic radiography or equivalent to meet the registration requirements of the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
* Competence in IV cannulation and contrast administration
* High levels of technical knowledge and the ability to work quickly and accurately, with a great eye for detail
* A caring nature – to see each patient as an individual and carry out this role with understanding and empathy
* Excellent communication and team working abilities
* Work well within our small, close, and supportive team
