Role Overview:
* Full-time, Monday to Friday
* Based in a vibrant primary school in Hackney
* Ideal for someone with experience working with children with SEN, including Autism, ADHD, and challenging behaviors
* Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant is advantageous
* Subject to a valid enhanced DBS check

Daily Duties:
* Provide 1:1 and small group support to children with SEN, including those with Autism, ADHD, and behavioral challenges.
* Work alongside the class teacher to implement personalized learning plans and strategies.
* Assist with creating and maintaining a positive, inclusive learning environment.
* Support the social and emotional development of students, encouraging positive behavior and engagement.
* Help students with daily tasks such as transitioning between activities, managing sensory needs, and building independence.
* Monitor students’ progress and provide feedback to teachers and parents.
* Ensure all health and safety protocols are followed, particularly in relation to students with SEN.
* Foster a fun and engaging classroom atmosphere that promotes learning and self-esteem.
* Assist with preparing and organizing learning materials tailored to the needs of students with SEN.
* Collaborate with other staff members, including SENCO and external specialists, to support students’ individual needs.
* Maintain accurate records and report concerns regarding student progress or well-being.
* Be a positive role model for students, promoting respect, inclusion, and understanding.
What We’re Looking For:
* Experience working with children with SEN, including those with Autism and ADHD.
* Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar educational setting is a plus.
* A compassionate, patient, and positive approach to supporting students with additional needs.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team.
* An understanding of behavior management strategies and a commitment to inclusivity.
* Ability to adapt and respond to the unique challenges of working with children with SEN.
