POSITION OVERVIEW
We have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and enthusiastic individual to join our team at The Ritz London within the Ritz Restaurant Department as an Assistant Head Sommelier.
As Assistant Head Sommelier, you will play a key role in curating an exceptional wine experience for our discerning guests. Working closely with our Head Sommelier, you will ensure the seamless service of wine pairings that complement our Michelin-starred cuisine. Your expertise and leadership skills should shine as you lead and train a team of sommeliers, manage inventory, and demonstrate your excellent knowledge of wines, regions, and trends. This is a dynamic role that combines leadership, passion, and a commitment to delivering world-class service.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
* Relevant experience in a 5-Star or fine dining property is essential
* Excellent customer service and leadership skills
* WSET, CMS, or similar qualifications or certificates
* Possess the ability to work under pressure and have strong organisational skills
* Good command of the English language, both spoken and written
* Display a polite and professional attitude to internal and external guests
