We are looking to recruit a part-time cleane r for our corps building. The successful applicant will be responsible for ensuring that the building is clean, neat and tidy and ready for use while maintaining a safe working environment at all times.
Key responsibilities:
Undertake cleaning duties according to the cleaning schedule to ensure a high standard is maintained. This will include but is not limited to:
1. Cleaning, vacuuming and dusting
2. Cleaning windows and sills
3. Cleaning toilets, sinks and washing toilet floor
4. Ensuring toilet supplies are replenished
5. Cleaning kitchen surfaces and floor, emptying waste bins and removing rubbish and recycling. Empty dishwasher and clean utensils if required
6. Informing manager of cleaning supplies needs
7. Moving furniture (chairs, tables and equipment)
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:
8. Previous cleaning experience
9. Knowledge of relevant health and safety requirements and procedures
10. Ability to work effectively to a high standard and with minimal supervision
11. Ability to work alone and use initiative
12. Ability to work within the ethos of the Salvation Army
