Description Wood are looking for a Staffing Lead to manage the optimisation of project staffing requirements across the service line to support successful delivery of projects, planned ahustdowns, outages and maintenance events. The ideal candidate will have experience of working with Trade and Craft labour across the Process and Energy space within the UK. The Staffing Lead will effectively gather, disseminate and action staffing and resource needs, availability, and competency data within their area of responsibility. The management of this help local leaders focus their time maximising utilization and securing work for their team, as well as providing new opportunities for both technical and Trade & Craft resources within the business areas. The Staffing Lead role is fundamental to successful delivery and impacts not only on the direct staffing requirements but also impacts effective utilization, employee engagement, evaluation and retention, and effectiveness of leaders by having a dedicated resource for this task. Responsibilities The Staffing Lead will engage with operational, project and functional leaders within the defined business area. As such they will be the day-to-day point of contact for local leaders. The key responsibilities of this role include: Drive standardization and consistency across staffing activities which support a growth focused approach to workforce planning. Embed effective estimating into the staffing system working with the Commercial and G&D teams. Lead the development and execution of project specific resourcing strategies by engaging with business leaders. Follow regional delivery plans to ensure focused delivery on staffing which can be shared with stakeholders to get their alignment and support. Proactively identify and record availability of technical and Trade & Craft resources within their area of responsibility by engaging and interfacing with local project and business leaders. Interface with hiring managers and recruiters to sift advertising responses to ensure that all candidates are responded to. Identify immediate, medium and long term resource requirements with local project and business leaders, and match these against resource availability. Supporting hiring managers in the recruitment decision process by providing visibility of resource availability Shortlisting candidates resumes for suitability of skills and experience in relation to the vacancy. Support the mobilisation of resources (including, resourcing agencies and subcontractors) by managing the process on behalf of local project and business leaders Proactively engage with the relevant mobilisation teams to support the process from a business perspective. Support managers with the transfer process or promotion process for resources Providing resource, competency and rate information to support local G&D teams and proposal development Developing and maintaining a close working relationship with local leaders within area of responsibility. Drive standardization and consistency across resourcing activities which support a growth focused approach to workforce planning by utilizing and helping to improve tools and processes. Provide effective reporting and feedback on resourcing trends to the Resourcing Manager and leaders within the area of responsibility. Identification and where required escalation of issues or blockers to the business and functions. Promote Project Delivery culture of delivery, value added, collaboration, and excellence, through leadership by example, Communities of Practice, and teamwork.
