Would you like to work closely with a caseload to support people into substance misuse treatment and away from crime?
The Role
Are you an enthusiastic and experienced drug and alcohol recovery practitioner, with a good understanding of the Criminal Justice system, and the challenges affecting people with substance misuse and related health and wellbeing issues? You will work closely with partners in the borough of Kingston Upon Thames from police, probation and the courts.
This exciting new role will offer you the chance to make a lasting difference to the lives of our service users, their families and the community.
The role’s focus is to assist those who use our service to address their offending behaviour, engage in recovery-orientated drug and alcohol treatment and become free from dependency.
You will provide assertive outreach to support the larger Kingston Upon Thames Recovery Team, supporting offenders to re-engage in treatment and to identify offenders who would benefit from the service.
This role is dependent upon the successful applicant obtaining Metropolitan Police clearance.
The Service
Via Kingston is an established community Integrated service that is well performing and highly functioning. The service consists of both clinical and psychosocial and is CQC registered to provide a range of clinical interventions including BBV & health interventions, OST, and community detox, as well as robust rough sleepers team and at a successful peer mentor service user involvement in provision.
