As our business looks to deliver its ambitious strategy of growth, we are looking for a Regional Counsel to join our EMEA Legal team, responsible for advising our businesses in the UK (Croda’s Global HQ), Sweden and Netherlands on a broad range of commercial and compliance topics. Please note, this role will be covering a 14-month period of maternity leave. Who We’re Looking For At Croda, we believe our people are the heart of our success. We are committed to fostering an environment where you can grow, make a meaningful impact, and thrive. 6 years PQE Experience gained in either private practice or in-house roles to provide pragmatic and business-friendly advice Chemical or manufacturing experience helpful but not essential Experience in working in a dynamic and challenging legal function supporting the business and its competing priorities Some exposure to supply agreements, collaboration agreements & licences and SaaS contracts, plus data protection would be advantageous What You’ll Be Doing Provide advice on, and solutions to, a broad range of legal and compliance issues, mainly of commercial nature e.g. commercial agreements, collaboration agreements and licences, IT SaaS agreements and compliance issues. Advice on disputes and litigation when needed Identify areas of risk and liability to the business and providing solutions to minimise, or eliminate them Work closely with contacts at a senior level within the business and instruct and manage external professional service providers Make complex decisions with a high degree of accountability and responsibility Work with and manage instructions to external Legal Counsel Close supervision of external lawyers where they are instructed which can include litigation and disputes Support the implementation and monitoring of the Croda Code of Ethics, Croda Code of Conduct and related Croda policies Ensure appropriate compliance programmes are in place across the region, supported by training programmes What We Offer Join a global organisation with countless opportunities for growth and leadership.
