We are looking to appoint an experienced, enthusiastic, empathetic, fun, hardworking and motivated SEND Teaching and Learning Assistant to join a mainstream primary school in Alfreton as soon as possible. As a 1:1 SEND Teaching Assistant you will provide support to students with special educational needs, assisting in their learning and personal development within the classroom setting.
This role involves working closely with not only the student but also the Teachers, Parents, SENDCO and Specialists to create an inclusive and supportive educational environment.
This role will include supporting the learning of children with SEND needs both inside and outside the classroom. You will be supporting students with a variety of learning difficulties including Autism, ADHD, Non-verbal as well as students with multiple learning difficulties or challenging behaviour.
In this role you will:
Work within a Specialist Hub within a Primary School with the students and aid in the education of the curriculum
Work with the school SENCO to achieve goals and targets
Foster a positive environment that enables the students to grow and learn
Promote the love of learning and education to the students
Work 27 Hours, Monday - Friday
