About the Role and Our Ideal Candidate:
We are looking for an enthusiastic, brilliant Early Years Practitioner to support the day-to-day running of a Pre-school for children from 2 years to 4 years old.
If you are responsible, reliable, and have bucket loads of enthusiasm on top of a caring nature, a can-do attitude, and of course enjoy working with children and their families, this could be the perfect career for you. You will be part of a small but mighty team of practitioners and have access to lots of ongoing training and professional development alongside immense job satisfaction knowing you’ve made a real difference.
You will hold a Level 3 qualification in Childcare (or equivalent) to be considered for this post. Experience of working with and supporting children with emerging needs and working in partnership with parents and carers is essential.
This role is term time only, 19 hours a week.
About Us:
The Pre-School Service is embedded in the Children's Centre offer in the borough. We provide high quality care and education to children aged 2 - 4 years old.
All of our preschools have been judged by Ofsted to be 'good' or 'outstanding' and we are tremendously proud of our fully inclusive and nurturing environments and the early learning experience we are able to offer all children, including those with complex needs.
Our staff are highly skilled and work very closely with our multi-agency partners (Children's Centres, Health Visitors, Early Years' SENCOs, Community Paediatricians, specialist teams e.g. Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Speech and Language Therapy, and Social Workers) to ensure that every child's needs are met and that with an individualised, bespoke learning programme all are able to make fantastic progress alongside their peers.
Our Offer To You:
Our teams work well together and offer holistic support to families by working alongside other agencies. You will be offered regular training opportunities throughout the academic year.
You will have access to the Local Government Pension Scheme and other employee benefits. This role is term time only, 19 hours a week.
Application Process:
Please apply online outlining what skills, abilities, and experience you can bring which makes you an ideal candidate for this role. Please ensure you refer to the requirements outlined in the job profile when completing your application.
The closing date is given as a guide. We reserve the right to close this vacancy once a sufficient number of applications has been received. Therefore, it is strongly advised that you complete and submit your application as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.
