IMultiply is working in partnership with an independent Accountancy Firm based in Dunfermline to recruit a Tax Assistant. The Company An independent and well-known Accountancy Practice based in Dunfermline. The Role You will have responsibility for your own portfolio of clients from a variety of sectors, providing them with tax compliance services. You will be given the opportunity to work towards your tax qualifications which will be included within your benefits package. You will have full support as you progress through your professional qualifications, receiving a wide variety of experience along the way and you will be mentored and developed by a team with a wealth of skills and knowledge, who will strive to provide you with all the support you will need. Day-to-day you will be responsible for; · Processing clients’ information to complete a first draft of the return · Making changes to the return based on reviewer comments · Preparation of covering letters to outline the tax position to clients · Co-ordinating returns being sent out to clients and preparation of fees · Assisting with answers to any queries the client has on their return · Developing professional relationships with clients. To be considered for the role you will ideally have; An enthusiastic and ambitious individual ready to take the next step in their tax career. Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage at all levels. Be self-motivated with an open mind. High level of planning and organisational skills. Ability to work to strict deadlines and apply own initiative. Willingness to learn and develop yourself and others. Excellent working knowledge of IT systems and applications.
