Norfolk - Hybrid - Covering a the South up to Birmingham.
£40,000 - £47,000 + Bonus + Car allowance/ Company car + 24 days holiday and bank holidays + Death in service x 3 + Company pension + Company card + Expenses paid on business trips and overnight stay allowance.
My client is a leading fire suppression specialist with decades of expertise in delivering tailored water mist, fire protection solutions. The company has built a strong reputation for innovation and reliability, serving a diverse range of industries with cutting-edge systems and exceptional service. They combine technical knowledge with a customer-focused approach to ensure safety and compliance to a wide range of commercial clients from government buildings and custodial to restaurants. Due to growth reasons my client is recruiting for a project manager with industry experience to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a wide variety of high value projects and join a high performing team.
Responsibilities
Oversee the delivery of water-mist fire suppression projects across a territory spanning Birmingham to London, ensuring timely completion and adherence to quality standards.
Coordinate with clients, the design and sales teams to ensure project alignment with initial quotes, maintaining profitability and managing any scope adjustments effectively.
Regularly travel to project sites to monitor progress, address on-site issues, and maintain strong client relationships, with occasional office-based work (once per week).
Manage a diverse portfolio of projects ranging from £200,000 to £10 million, with durations varying from short-term (2 weeks) to long-term (18 months), across sectors such as hospitality, custodial facilities, and commercial properties.
Prepare and maintain detailed project documentation, including schedules, budgets, and progress reports, ensuring stakeholders are kept informed at every stage of the project lifecycle.
Manage engineers and subcontractors, including scheduling, performance monitoring, and ensuring compliance with project specifications and health & safety regulations.
Requirements:
Demonstrated project management experience in fire suppression, preferably with watermist systems; other relevant manufacturing backgrounds may also be considered.
Practical knowledge of watermist systems, gained as a project engineer or project manager, is highly desirable to ensure effective project delivery.
Possession of a CSCS card is beneficial; however, training will be provided if necessary.
Must meet the requirements for security clearance and enhanced DBS checks, due to working on sensitive and secure client sites.
Excellent communication and organizational skills are essential for coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, contractors, and clients.
Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects with varying complexities and durations while maintaining a high standard of quality and profitability.
Strong problem-solving skills to address project challenges and adapt to evolving site conditions effectively.
