VACANCY
A vacancy has arisen for Welder / Fabricator at Fibrelite Composites LLC. Fibrelite Composites LLC designs, manufactures, tests and provides components and products to protect the environment and the consumer.
Pay Rate: £14.25
Physical Work Requirements:
1. Standing/ sitting 8-10 hours
2. Bending
3. Reaching
4. Pushing/pulling
5. Squatting
6. Must be able to use adhesives, lubricants, etc.
7. Small hand tools usage
8. Lifting 50 lbs./23 KG frequently
9. Work in manufacturing environment, including non-air conditioned
10. Performing repetitive tasks
Key Responsibilities:
1. Fabricating and welding (MiG and TiG) metal components according to the specifications
2. Supporting engineering team on a daily basis
3. Using different types of machinery including saw equipment
4. Using hand-held tools and power tools
5. Reading and understanding technical drawings
6. Maintaining safe conditions at all times
7. Implementing all the company’s procedures and policies
8. Communicating any problems or obstacles to Manager
9. Supporting the engineering team in daily tasks if required
10. Notifying Manager of any delays and outages
11. Implementing and sustaining manufacturing technologies that continuously improve operational excellence
12. Assisting Manager in daily tasks to ensure targets are met and production is not affected
13. Ensuring that all equipment used in the department is properly maintained and operational at all times
14. Performing duties as assigned by management
15. Maintaining inventory of manufacturing products and welding consumables
16. Performing quality checks
Candidate Experience and Qualifications:
1. Training in welding is preferred, however not necessary as all extensive training will be provided
2. Experience in warehouse is strongly preferred
3. Ability to operate all equipment and tools used in the department including welding equipment, saws, drills, angle grinders, etc.
4. Ability to work to tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
5. Experience in operating Counterbalance is preferred
Required Skills:
1. High attention to detail
2. Good communication skills (written and verbal) with the ability to speak, read and write English
3. Good level of numeracy skill and comfortable dealing with figures
4. Ability to effectively problem-solve in a fast-paced environment
5. Effective time management, planning, and organizational skills
6. Strong organizational skills
