Internal Sales Engineer - Automation Products
The company works at the technology end of the manufacturing industry as leaders in the design and production of advanced automation solutions, working with market-leading customers across sectors such as automotive, medical, and food production. Their solutions are both bespoke and off-the-shelf automated systems and robots.
You must already live in Birmingham to be considered for this role and have the right to work in the UK without requiring sponsorship in the future.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a confident engineer to work at the cutting edge of the automation revolution in a company where the sales manager started as an apprentice.
The Role
1. Working closely with the Head of Sales for the preparation of customer proposals and negotiation of pricing.
2. Proactively identify business opportunities and drive opportunities through telephone, video, and in-person meetings/presentations.
3. Identify and follow up leads for new business opportunities.
4. Effectively manage customer and supplier issues.
5. Provide input and support marketing initiatives and trade shows to actively promote the company.
Whilst this isn't a highly target-focused sales job, we do require someone confident to be proactive and work on their own initiative. Full product training and support will be provided.
Requirements
1. HNC or graduate degree in engineering; electrical, mechanical, or mechatronics.
2. Previous technical sales experience - internal sales, field sales engineer, technical sales, account manager.
3. Confident, proactive, technically competent.
4. Full driving licence.
5. Experience selling into automotive, medical, or food industry beneficial.

Salary: £35K - £50K DoE

25 days holiday
Hours: 37 per week. Lunchtime finish Fridays.
