Reed Legal are supporting a long established and very well regarded Warwickshire law firm to recruit a residential property solicitor or licensed conveyancer. Based in an affluent area, the firm has a broad client base including high net worth individuals.
This role is based in a team that already has an engaged and repeat client base and will offer the successful candidate a route to partner over time. Both existing partners have reached this position having joined as new qualified solicitors. The successful candidate will work closely with 2 conveyancers in the team. Typical transaction values range up to several £million.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Managing and taking ownership of a high-volume caseload.
2. Handling sales, purchases, and financing of freehold and leasehold residential properties, re-mortgages, and transfer of equity transactions.
3. Acting for borrowers and lenders, drafting and negotiating transaction documents, and responding to lender enquiries.
4. Preparing reports, SDLT forms, registrations, and completion statements.
5. Managing file administration and ensuring compliance with AML requirements.
Person Specification
The ideal candidate will be organised, detail-oriented, and able to handle a fast-paced workload with a professional and courteous approach to clients and stakeholders.
Essential skills and experience:
1. Qualified solicitor or licensed conveyancer with residential property experience.
2. Expertise in sales, purchases, and mortgage transactions involving houses, flats, and off-plan new builds.
3. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to build client relationships.
4. Excellent organisation and time management, with attention to detail under pressure.
5. A team player with a proactive and flexible approach to work.
