Morris ward is a mixed -bedded ward; this specialises in care of the elderly medicine, with the majority of patients having complex physical and mental health needs. You will have the opportunity to work in a clinical environment striving for excellence, and be an integral part of our dynamic nursing team.
You will be supported by the Ward Manager, Practice Development Nurse and Matron to undertake professional and personal development opportunities, and be supported in your new role.
The ward offers different learning opportunities as well as a chance to develop management and leadership skills.
The post holders will be expected to deliver care of the highest standard and work closely with other members of the multi-disciplinary team. As a Band Registered nurse you will ensure that you carry out clinical practice within designated clinical areas, ensuring that high qualities, current evidence-based nursing assessment, care planning, implementation, interventions and evaluations for patients is provided from admission through to discharge.

Main duties of the job
We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual who has experience of healthcare and is keen to assist in developing the service for the future. This is a demanding role that requires commitment and a positive approach towards change. You will have excellent communication skills and high clinical standards with a passion to make a difference for patients and staff alike.
This is an exciting opportunity to support patients, some with complex needs during their stay in hospital. Applicants will need to be able to demonstrate care and compassion in providing support and care for patients.
