Senior Physiotherapist role involves assessing, implementing, and evaluating programmes of person-centred care as part of a multi-disciplinary team. Key responsibilities include assessing service user needs, undertaking comprehensive assessments, promoting choice, and liaising with other healthcare professionals. The role requires a senior level of clinical, technical, and research skills, with a focus on optimising independence and physical function.
* Responsible for assessment of service user needs in relation to optimising independence and physical function
* Undertake comprehensive assessment of service users, using investigative and analytical skills to formulate individualised rehabilitation and treatment plans
* Promote choice in all aspects of clinical practice, reviewing and making suggestions to enhance the service user experience
* Liaise and communicate with other health and social care professionals and volunteers in the planning and delivery of occupational therapy
* Ensure appropriate prescription, provision, and maintenance of equipment within available resources
* Ensure up-to-date written and electronic records are maintained in accordance with Professional and Brainkind standards
* Demonstrate clinical leadership and promote clinical supervision
* Share knowledge and expertise with other staff through formal and informal teaching
* Lead on the localised training plan for Brainkind staff to provide physiotherapy interventions as part of overall care
* Facilitate the safe and smooth running of the Service, maintaining a safe working environment and service user confidentiality
Requirements: Diploma/BSc in Physiotherapy, current and valid Registration with Health & Care Professions Council, current registration with professional body (e.g. CSP), member of specialist interest group (ACPIN or ACPOPC) or willing to join, evidence of Continued Professional Development, experience of working in a relevant setting, and demonstrable experience of using evidence-based practice and outcome measures.
