Job summary This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Surgical Nurse to work in General Surgery for WGH and SRH Hospitals. To provide professional leadership to General Surgery team working in conjunction with the Matron and other Senior nurses to promote delivery of professional nursing care to General Surgery patients ensuring the highest possible standards of care are received by patients and their carers while in hospital. To also lead in the planning, implementation, co-ordination and evaluation of educational activities within General Surgery wards to promote nursing excellence within the wards, and facilitate the continuous professional development and education of all members of staff in a positive learning environment.
