Science Tutor Wanted - Flexible, Rewarding Role!
Are you a passionate science teacher looking for flexible and rewarding work? We have an exciting opportunity for experienced Science tutors to join our team in Brent and the surrounding areas!
Role Requirements:
Pay: £30 - £35 per hour
DBS on Update: Must have an up-to-date DBS check.
Subjects: Science
Location: Northampton and surrounding areas.

This tutor role involves:
1. Planning lessons and resources around the student's needs, focusing on science topics such as biology, chemistry, and physics.
2. Planning and delivering engaging science lessons.
3. Applying skills to raise students' confidence in understanding scientific concepts.
4. Managing students with challenging behaviour.
5. Tracking the learning progress of students to help them achieve their desired learning outcomes, with monthly progress reports.
6. Potentially engaging in outdoor activities such as learning about plants, ecosystems, and nature.
7. Using visual aids and other resources to support communication and learning.
Responsibilities:
1. Instruction: Plan and deliver lessons tailored to the student's individual learning needs.
2. Teach a range of topics, including biology, chemistry, physics, and general science (depending on student level).
3. Assessment: Regularly assess students' understanding of science topics through quizzes, tests, and assignments.
4. Provide feedback on students' strengths and areas for improvement.
5. Customisation: Adjust lesson plans and teaching strategies to match the student's pace and learning style.
6. Create additional practice problems or resources as needed to reinforce concepts.
7. Student Support: Help students build confidence in understanding scientific theories and conducting experiments.
8. Offer assistance with homework, exam preparation, and school projects.
9. Communication: Maintain open communication with parents, guardians, or supervisors regarding student progress.
10. Provide progress reports and suggest strategies for improvement.
11. Continuous Learning: Stay updated on new teaching methods, science curriculum changes, and science-related technology tools.
12. Participate in professional development opportunities to improve teaching skills.
