Description Digital transformation is a pillar of Energy Systems’ strategy to grow with our customers who are leading the energy transition. We are now looking for a Data Architect to help accelerate the Energy Systems Business Area on the path of digital transformation. This role sits within our Innovation and Transformation team (part of the Growth, Innovation and Digital global unit) which is responsible for our strategy towards digital transformation of our business activities, including our digital strategy and coordinating our global approach for Innovation and Transformation. Scope: The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing and coordinating our data architecture program/roadmap within Energy Systems. The data architect will ensure that we have a data architecture plan that can facilitate new services, establishing shared principles and methods for data collections, validation, processing, analytics and data infrastructure and interfaces that support the creation of unique insights for our customers in collaboration with our Lead Enterprise Architect. The role will be a data champion within the organisation, helping to facilitate a strong data culture within the organisation Work with innovation/development teams to determine or influence data and solution choices for upcoming developments and provide technical oversight. Coordinate with project teams and others to ensure that data standards and models align with the overall enterprise architecture and applicable standards. Liaise with Energy Systems’ Architecture functions and further stakeholders in other business areas to ensure the Energy Systems' data roadmap is linked with the wider strategic plans. Drive Data Governance activities and coordinate with stakeholders. Support the growth of the professional data community in Energy Systems able to deliver data driven solutions to the necessary standards and best practices. Qualifications The candidate should be a qualified data architect with experience of supporting digitalisation programmes within large organisations to achieve strategic objectives as well as establishing data architectures. The candidate must be self-driven, able to work independently and have a track record in successfully engaging with stakeholders and teams across a large organization, with the ability to persuade and influence. Qualifications Master-level education within IT or related fields 5 years of experience with data and data architecture Strong understanding of cloud data technologies Proficiency in data modelling and design, including SQL development and database administration Experience with data lake and data warehouse. Experience with Azure Purview or data lineage similar tools. Experience with information security, data compliance policy and privacy standards (GDPR, Schrems II, ISO 27001) Experience with agile processes, methods and tools Good to have Certified Data Management Professional will be a plus. Knowledge of system development life cycle.
