Lanyon Stroke Rehabilitation Unit have a vacancy for Healthcare Assistants to join our nursing team at Camborne Redruth Community Hospital.

Camborne Redruth Community Hospital is a friendly team, and our vision is to provide place-based care to our local community.
You will have the opportunity to develop clinical skills within the Stroke Rehabilitation Unit, which supports the Acute Hospital with highly dependent medical admissions. You will work with a multidisciplinary team (MDT) to support safe discharges.

This is a 6-month fixed-term contract undertaking a range of long days (07:30 - 20:00) and night duties (19:30 - 08:00) on a rotational basis to support 24-hour nursing care, 7 days per week. Full-time and part-time hours will be considered.
Main Duties of the Job
1. To assist in the delivery of clinical care, planned and assessed by the Registered Nurse.
2. To carry out care and other duties under the indirect supervision of a Registered Nurse and/or Senior Health Care Assistant.
3. Support care on a day-to-day basis for all patients in the clinical area in a manner sensitive to the individual client's needs and wishes, acknowledging their rights and beliefs at all times.
4. Contribute to resource management within the clinical area.

Experience
* Previous experience in a care setting.
* Previous experience in a hospital setting.
Education and Qualifications
* GCSE Maths & English, or Equivalent.
* NVQ 2 in Health Care, or Equivalent.
