Buro Happold has a fantastic opportunity for a Finance Assistant to join our dynamic team in Bath. The successful candidate will support the UK Cities business unit by managing invoicing, preparing month-end accruals and prepayments, and collaborating with the Project Operations team. This role requires a high level of accuracy, good communication skills, and the ability to work to deadlines.

Key duties
* Produce invoicing for projects delivered by the UK Cities business unit (50% of the role).
* Perform project-related housekeeping tasks within the project planning and finance systems.
* Prepare month-end accruals and prepayments.
* Own Cost Reports for Disciplines.
* Report on overheads spend versus budget and forecast.
* Issue Work In Progress (WIP) balances to Project Directors.
* Collaborate with the Project Operations team to complete tasks.
* Support other regional teams when required.
* Adhere to the company's financial policies and procedures.
* Perform other ad-hoc tasks to support the Bath Office and wider function.
Your skills and experience:
* High level of accuracy.
* Good communication and team working skills.
* Ability to work to deadlines and prioritize workload.
* Good computer and IT skills; use of PivotTables and formulas in Excel is an advantage.
* Ability to understand the nature of the work the team carries out and interact with non-finance stakeholders.
* Prior use of financial accounting systems such as Agresso is an advantage.
* Ideally studied AAT Level 2 or above.
* Good secondary and/or tertiary education: A levels or equivalent.
