Job Title: Senior ICSS Engineer
Location: St Neots, Cambridgeshire. (Hybrid work)
Rate: £38 - £48 per hour (Umbrella/PAYE) Inside IR35
Our client is looking for an experienced ICSS Engineer to work in the Project's Team to provide high-level ICSS/Application engineering expertise on national & international projects, dealing with Energy Transition and Target Net Zero projects.
Job Outline:
The Senior Project Engineer will execute high-level ICSS & Application Engineering deliverables on various national and international automation projects. The engineer is expected to interpret and analyze customer specifications and narratives and produce the control system to the system requirements.
Responsibilities include:
1. Providing technical solutions.
2. Working closely with project managers and engineers to identify key resources and taking ownership of allocated scopes.
3. Interacting with clients to interpret their needs and performing quality control on work deliverables.
4. Reviewing engineering deliverables and monitoring compliance with standards.
5. Coordinating technical queries and assisting with technical sales presentations.
6. Producing engineering estimates for bids.
7. Training and mentoring new team members.
ICSS Skills and Knowledge:
* Excellent knowledge of ICSS industry standards and specifications.
* Experience in design, configuration, testing, and commissioning of ICSS applications.
* Ability to work on multiple discipline projects.
* Strong decision-making, leadership, time management, and organizational skills.
* Good working knowledge of Networks, IT/OT Systems, and Cyber Security.
* Experience with ICSS systems like DCS/PCS, ESD, and F&G.
* Familiarity with systems (800xA, Symphony Plus, SG400, AC400, AC800M, Infi90, AC500) or equivalent systems.
* Engineer applications using IEC-61131-3 languages (FB, ST, SFC).
* Understanding of functional safety standards and project practices.
* Knowledge of industrial communications protocols.
* Industry knowledge in Networking, Cyber Security, IoT, Industry 4.0, SCADA, and PLC.
* Software experience in Network Management and virtual machines.
* Flexibility to travel within the UK and overseas (up to 30% of the time).
Requirements:
B.Eng or M.Eng + 5 years experience or a HNC/HND + 10 years relevant experience.
Hands-on experience in process or safety systems, particularly in application engineering, HMI engineering, 3rd party communication interfaces, FAT, and SAT for process automation.
