My client is looking for an ERP Support Analyst to become the central point of contact for all things Business Central (ERP). This role is fast-moving, varied and will enable you to put your stamp on the position, department and technology. It will also enable you to build valuable skills in Microsoft Business Central, the hottest ERP around And the best bit is, you don’t need to come with Dynamics / BC experience, so long as you’ve worked with and supported an ERP system you’ll get the knowledge, training and investment in BC, which, quite honestly would be career transformational. About the role The role represents an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to join the business and assume responsibility for 1st and 2nd line support for ERP (Business Central) while also being responsible for the implementation of remaining work packages and sprints, including the optimisation of Business Information and reporting from Business Central and the roll-out of a comprehensive training plan. The role requires the provision of proactive support and assistance to the business across two instances of Business Central, and also on occasion for the IT environment in general. The successful candidate will also be a focal point for our chosen Microsoft partner. About you The successful candidate will have an appetite to learn and improve, bringing positive energy and a “can do” attitude. You will be a self-starter, creating momentum to drive through change and good practices based on the experience of knowing “what good looks like”, helping the Senior Management Team to achieve the Company’s IT Objectives. You will strive to efficiently and accurately address all Business Central needs in a timely manner. The successful candidate must be hands-on, highly skilled and have the technical expertise coupled with a good understanding of business processes and management principles to effectively resolve complex issues and reporting requirements. You will have an innovative mindset, be an effective communicator working with end users of the ERP system and with our chosen Microsoft partner. You will have an analytical mindset, with the necessary skills to extract information and data from the system and organise it into a coherent form that facilitates Management review, preferably through the use of various dashboards and Power BI reports. Main tasks of Role: Principle Responsibilities include but are not limited to: 1st Line Support/Main POC for BC Overall responsibility for Business Central, managing the helpdesk and the strategy for supporting the Business. This includes the development of self-help materials and empowerment of super users in key areas of the business. BC Upgrades/Migration to SaaS Oversee the remaining aspects of the migration to a SaaS environment, including UAT and the capture of evolving issues following going live. Develop patch and enhancement strategy thereafter to be rolled out across the business. Roll out of comprehensive training plan/materials: Capture training requirements for different departments and key Business Central users and develop a strategy for the development of materials to address the most common issues, and a detailed and documented training plan to be executed to cascade Business Central capabilities into the business. Development Sprints: Work with the Microsoft partner to pull together the final development sprint for the ERP implementation and partner with them to execute, working with the Business to smooth the transition ensuring a high-level end-user experience Optimised Business Processes: Responsibility for overseeing the financials and month-end close for our American operations including accruals and prepayments, revenue recognition, Inventory and full Balance Sheet Management Qualifications & Experience Microsoft Dynamics Business Central, Dynamics or leader ERP system essential At least 3 years experience in a comparable role Prior experience in a manufacturing environment is desirable, with a good understanding of how Business processes are optimised in the ERP system Demonstrable experience of project management Ability to present confidently in front of senior management Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills (Power BI preferable) Must hold a full, clean driving licence The successful candidate will be primarily based at our Halesowen site but will be required to work across all sites as necessary to fulfil the role. This is a full-time permanent position, Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week.
