Property Disrepair Officer\n\nLocation: Home based with travel to properties in South Wales\n\nSalary: £28,000-£32,000\n\nHours: Monday-Friday 40 hours per week 8.30am-5pm\n\nContract Type: Permanent\n\nOur client, a leader in housing solutions, is seeking a Property Disrepair Officer for South Wales. In this role, you will conduct investigations into property conditions after Service Users vacate, using findings and historical data to advise landlords/agents on repair responsibilities. You will also coordinate with the legal team on appropriate compensation offers.\n\nDuties and Responsibilities:\n\n * Prepare letters, emails, reports, and other documents.\n\n * Conduct on-site investigations into disrepair issues.\n\n * Handle inbound and outbound calls regarding internal and external disrepair and close-out enquiries.\n\n * Draft emails and reports for review by your direct supervisor.\n\n * Maintain daily records and manage electronic and physical filing of caseloads.\n\n * Analyse and summarise documents.\n\n * Support the administration and management of close-out workflows.\n\n * Thrive in a fast-paced environment and contribute to team collaboration.\n\nRequired Skills:\n\n * At least 2 years' experience in the property sector.\n\n * Experience in a fast-paced team environment, managing competing priorities.\n\n * Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).\n\n * Skilled in handling high volumes of verbal and written requests.\n\n * Experience managing situations with multiple parties and competing interests.\n\n * Excellent written and spoken English.\n\n * Solution-oriented with a strong understanding of property law in England and Wales.\n\n * Able to work independently with minimal supervision.\n\n * Strong administrative skills, including filing, system maintenance, and material preparation.\n\n * Friendly and professional telephone manner with a positive attitude.\n\n * Full, valid UK driving licence and car owner.\n\nBenefits:\n\n * 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays\n\n * Health Membership\n\n * Life cover\n\n * 6-month probation period\n\n * 4% employer and 4% employee pension contribution\n\n * Laptop, phone, and other equipment as needed\n\n * Employee Assistance Programme\n\n * Referral scheme\n\nThe successful candidate will need to hold a valid UK driving licence and will be required to undergo a satisfactory DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check, in accordance with the responsibilities of the role.\n\nPlease contact Kerrie Collett on (phone number removed) to learn more, or submit your application today
