The House Parent plays a crucial role in the pastoral care of students aged 9-12 or 12-14 during our Juniors residential courses. Acting in loco parentis, you will ensure students feel safe, cared for, and engaged. You’ll foster a positive and welcoming residential environment, helping children settle into their new surroundings and guiding them through their daily routines. This role is key in creating a nurturing, family-like atmosphere where students feel at home. Main duties and responsibilities Emotional and social support: Build rapport with students, providing the care and guidance needed to create a nurturing, family-like atmosphere where they feel at home. P ositive Behaviour: Create an environment that encourages respect, inclusivity, and kindness among students. Residential duties: Up to 10 hrs per week, as part of the residential team including morning registrations, meal time supervision, curfew checks and overnight phone duty. Welfare and safeguarding: Take responsibility for the wellbeing and safeguarding of your group, ensuring any concerns are reported immediately to the Welfare Manager. Activity support: Assist the Activity Manager in delivering a variety of on-site activities and excursions, ensuring students are engaged and supervised. Location : Windsor. Residential role at no extra cost to the employee, meals provided when on duty. You’ll work and live in one of the most prestigious independent school locations in the country. Participating in our social and cultural programme could include day trips across the UK and local activities.
