We are looking for Band 4 Therapy Assistant Practitioners to join our Stroke Therapy Team. You will be working with experienced Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists on the acute wards helping patients who have had strokes, to gain function and independence.
There will be opportunities to get involved in service development and improvement, including utilising the National Stroke data (SSNAP).

This post is for a Band 4 Therapy Assistant Practitioner at UHCW NHS Trust. The role is within the inpatient therapy teams.
Under the supervision of a Registered Therapist, the post holder will be expected to deliver a high-quality service by planning and prioritise own workload, and contributing to the effective and efficient running of the therapy service. The post holder will work independently within their scope of practice, demonstrating effective time management skills. The post holder will provide clinical support for less experience staff as delegated by the Clinical Specialist / Clinical Team Leader.
The team provides therapeutic intervention to all patients who are admitted to the hospital.
As an Assistant Practitioner you will work closely with all the therapists within the teams to support high standards of patient care. This post will offer you the opportunity to consolidate and develop existing skills and knowledge. As an Assistant Practitioner you will have a dedicated caseload and be able to see patients throughout their journey. You would take on additional tasks for example training and supervision of other staff.
