Senior Residential Service Officer
Job Reference: HCC619044
Salary Range: £32,149 - £35,241 per annum
Work Location: West Street, Havant
Hours per week: 37
Contract Type: Permanent
Closing Date: 12 November 2024
The Role:
As a Senior Residential Services Officer, you’ll provide leadership support to our friendly and supportive care team in our long stay CQC registered residential home for adults with learning disabilities. Along with other Senior Residential Officers, you’ll support the Registered Manager to ensure we deliver a high-quality service that meets CQC and Care standards in line with our own internal policies and practices. You will be creating support plans and conducting risk assessments with the Service User, ensuring least restrictive options are always implemented.
We work with some amazing people, each with their own individual physical, mental, social and emotional needs. You’ll enjoy this diversity and use your person-centred approach to focus on their strengths, promoting their independence and tailoring your support to the individual. This will include supporting staff to deliver safe and person-centred care, at times working alongside the Residential Support Officers and being a positive role model.
Whether you’re looking to expand your existing leadership skills or take a first step on your career pathway in a management role, the role of Senior Residential Services Officer is a fantastic opportunity to stretch yourself in a supportive environment.
You’ll have a successful track record working in a social care setting and have the confidence and skill set to lead a team, deputising for the Manager as needed. Our Senior Residential Services Officers must be strong team players, so you’ll enjoy the opportunity to mentor others, enabling them to deliver the highest standards of care, in line with the latest CQC requirements. Most importantly you’ll role-model our core values to colleagues, showing patience, empathy and compassion, empowering people to be as independent and maximise their wellbeing.
In return, we can offer you a comprehensive induction programme, so that you’ll have all the training you need to do a first-class job as a Senior Residential Services Officer. We’re committed to your personal development and can support you to undertake a QCF Diploma Level 5 in Leadership for Health and Social Care (Adults). We also offer an extensive benefits package.
As this is a 24/7 service, you’ll be required to work a shift pattern to respond to the demands of the service. Your working pattern will include working every other weekend and a variety of shifts including early, late, sleep-in shifts and bank holidays for which enhancements will be paid in line with the HCC salary policy.
