Purpose of Role To ensure the delivery of a high quality and professional catering service provision supporting the service delivery. To prepare, cook and serve food in accordance with defined standards and quality, working within CQC /OFSTED guidelines regarding current health safety and hygiene legislation and Health and Safety policy, with the aim of achieving high standards of customer care and good quality at low cost. To assist in supervising Kitchen and Catering Assistants, ensuring that the agreed standards and targets are maintained. To support the development of further business opportunities in relation to catering. To support the development of knowledge and experience across all catering service areas to ensure efficient and effective service delivery. Commitment: To improve the care and experience of our customers. Key Tasks and Responsibilities 1. Role Accountability Plan and organise workload of the catering team to meet priorities. Prepare and produce food and beverage in line with customer requirements and legislation. Work in partnership to promote healthy eating and support customer needs. Monitor stock control levels, including monthly stocktaking. Assist Managers in delivering person-centred customer service. 2. Service Delivery Prepare, cook, and serve food to service specifications. Supervise and mentor Kitchen Assistants. Meet statutory requirements for hygiene inspections. Promote health and safety in catering operations. Participate in training to stay updated on initiatives and regulations. Work as part of a team to provide care and support according to care plans. 3. Maintenance Ensure tools and equipment are in good working order. 4. Records and Reports Ensure all records are accurate and up to date. Comply with data protection principles. Handle financial processes according to company procedures. 5. Health and Safety Work within a multi-agency framework to meet service aims and objectives. Maintain compliance with Health and Safety policies and procedures. 6. Working Environment Context Work flexibly across service areas and maintain good communication with staff and customers. 7.
