Category Development Manager (Grocery)

Our client, a leading multinational CPG company, is looking for an experienced customer-facing Category Development Manager to join the team as a lead on 2 key Grocery customers.
You will be responsible for the category vision and strategy, using your strong understanding of shopper behaviour to deliver growth across your accounts. You will be a key member of the team, managing customer stakeholders directly while maintaining strong collaboration with internal stakeholders across the sales department.
Key Responsibilities:
* Tailor the overall company strategy vision to align with your customers' strategy, ensuring long-term growth for both parties
* Develop a strong relationship with customers with regular in-person interactions
* Advise sales stakeholders on the distribution and assortment strategy
* Deliver quarterly market insights regarding future trends, customer competitor executions, etc.
* Own the customer's range review calendar, ensuring alignment with brand & sales teams
* Facilitate the successful launch and growth of NPDs with your customers
* Lead the ongoing promotional analysis to ensure promotional effectiveness & strong ROI
Qualifications:
* Proven experience in a customer-facing category management role within FMCG / CPG
* Strong analytical skills & the ability to translate data into actionable insights
* Knowledge of key information system tools (Nielsen, IRI, Kantar, Dunnhumby, etc.)
* Strong communication & stakeholder management skills (Customer & Internal)
* A strong understanding of the UK retail & shopper ecosystem
