Finance Manager – Construction Sector Warwick | £45,000 - £50,000 (DOE) | Full-Time, Office-Based with Flexibility Are you an experienced Finance Manager looking for a new challenge in the construction or M&E sector? Our client — a well-established and reputable Mechanical & Electrical contractor based in Warwick — is seeking a proactive and commercially minded Finance Manager to join their senior leadership team. With over four decades of industry experience, this is a pivotal role within a growing business. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will oversee all core financial operations while supervising a Finance Assistant. Key Responsibilities Include: Full oversight of purchase and sales ledger processes, including CIS deductions Bank and balance sheet reconciliations Preparation and submission of VAT and CIS returns, including reverse VAT (DRC) Raising applications for payment and monitoring job costing with project teams Cashflow management and monthly reporting to the MD Year-end preparation and liaising with external accountants and auditors Maintaining fixed asset registers, prepayments, and accruals Producing management accounts and financial analysis reports Supervising the Finance Assistant and maintaining day-to-day departmental efficiency ✅ Essential Experience: Minimum 5 years in a Finance Manager role within the construction or contracting sector ACA or CIMA qualified Proficiency in Sage 50 Cloud Professional and Microsoft Excel Confident in managing people and finance processes independently Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills Knowledge of DRC VAT procedures and credit control processes Desirable: Familiarity with Cypher software (training will be provided) Salary & Benefits: £45,000 - £50,000 per annum (depending on experience) 25 days annual leave bank holidays Flexible working considered Company pension scheme Health cash plan (Westfield Health, Level 1) Free on-site parking If you're a driven, detail-oriented finance professional with leadership capabilities and a background in the construction industry, we'd love to hear from you
