Job overview
The receptionist role is essential to ensure the efficient pathway flow of patients through the Radiology department. This post is part of a pool of staff who will help to cover all Radiology reception desks. Without sufficient reception staff we are unable to support day working that is essential to achieve waiting time KPI's.
The receptionists also cover the back office to include courtesy calling and admin tasks relevant to the post.
Main duties of the job
Radiology receptionists ensure patient information is up to date and accurate on both Radiology and Trust wide information systems. They are a further pause in the process for positive patient identification and help to highlight patient ID queries which supports IRMER compliance.
