This is an excellent opportunity to hone your specialist skills in acute stroke. Based on the Acute Stroke Unit (Clyst Ward) at the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital (Wonford), you will work in partnership with people with acquired communication and swallowing disorders to reduce the impact of these difficulties on well-being and enhance their ability to participate in daily life.

Job responsibilities
You will be a core member of the stroke interdisciplinary team - a close-knit group that deeply respects the role and opinion of SLT - and work flexibly with the SLT neurology and wider acute teams.
We are keen to support the development of your specialist knowledge and skills, and can offer a CPD plan tailored to your needs. You'd be joining our strong, cohesive SLT service which spans adult acute and community, and acute paediatrics. We have excellent systems in place for supervision, support and continuing professional development.
Our mission is to improve quality of life for people with communication and swallowing difficulties. This is a part-time vacancy of 15 hours per week, fixed term for 2 years.
Working Pattern: We work Mon-Fri 08:30-16:30
