We are seeking an enthusiastic and proactive Student Engagement Officer to join our Admissions team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in enriching student’s onboarding experience. You will be responsible for maintaining applicant student engagement throughout the admissions process, to scheduling agreed marketing communications to support the recruitment and admissions journey, and for implementing bespoke marketing and communications interventions to enhance conversion from initial enquiry through to enrolment Our ideal candidate excels at building strong relationships with prospective students, enjoys working creatively to develop new and exciting engagement opportunities for applicant students, and has experience of delivering the applicant student journey, within a UK higher education environment Essential skills & experience: • Bachelor's degree in relevant field • Excellent communication skills and a genuine understanding of the needs and requirements of applicant students • Ability to engage applicant students from across the healthcare sector, including mature students and students from a wide range of backgrounds • Experience of delivering applicant student engagement activities and communications in a UK higher education environment • Familiarity with the UCAS system and how student engagement can impact on conversion • Ability to think creatively and to design and deliver exciting engagement activities and communications for students • Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret data. Desirable skills and experience: • Experience in event planning and coordination. • A commitment to understanding the nature of our academic programmes, and their relevance to the healthcare sectors Key Responsibilities: Maintaining applicant student engagement throughout the admissions process Develop and deliver exciting applicant student engagement activities and communications Develop statistical data analysis and qualitative analysis of applicant student feedback, to inform activities and communications to impact on conversion Schedule agreed marketing communications to support the recruitment and admissions journey Implement bespoke marketing and communications interventions to enhance conversion from initial enquiry through to enrolment Ensure the consistent delivery of brand identity and good practice in delivering commiunications Contract Type: Employed, permanent. Location: York (Hybrid) Hours: Part time (0.6 FTE). Weekend work is required for introduction/open days. Salary Grade 2: £25,148 - £27,344 (pro-rata) Reports to: Admissions Manager Start date: February 2025 or before.
