EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW
We have an exciting new opportunity to join our team as Network Response Technician with no experience required to apply. This brand-new team will be part of a growing operational team – with a real sense of family, that is ready to welcome and train some new recruits with open arms.
This hands-on team is equivalent to the Severn Trent 'Emergency Services’ who work /, days a year and are always ready to deploy and respond to no supply calls when they come in.
As part of the Network Response Team, a typical day involves being prepared and ready for deployment anywhere within the Severn Trent area. You’ll need to demonstrate flexibility by driving a range of vehicles from xs to articulated tankers (don’t worry if you haven’t got an HGV driving license, we’ll train you up!).
The team’s primary goal is to restore supply to customers within hours of customers going off water supply. We achieve this through two main methods: the first is network injection, where we inject directly into the water pipes, and the second method is through a reservoir hatch injection to ensure our reservoir remains full of water for customers to stay on supply.
You’ll be provided with excellent training to enable you to excel and successfully operate industry-leading equipment, with the added bonus of being supported by a brilliant and supportive team.
This role gives you the opportunity to create an excellent career path with your Class & Class driving courses included in your progression path.
This is a / role, working a shift pattern, covering days a year.
Like we’ve said, if you haven’t got any relevant experience don’t worry, we can help with that. We’ll give you all the training, guidance, and support you need.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE ROLE
All you’ll need is a driver’s license – as part of the job will be moving water around our network to restore our customers' water supplies.
And of course, you’ll need to think on your feet, enjoy problem solving, and be happy to get stuck in – in this brilliant hands-on role. You’ll also need to be happy to engage with customers, as you’ll be at the heart of our communities when they need us most.
The right skills and experience are important. But if you have the right character, positivity, and a caring attitude we want to talk to you too.
We welcome people from all walks of life and celebrate individuality as we know diverse minds, experiences, and backgrounds help us to learn and better serve our communities. We want people who show up and get involved. Those who are ready to be part of something bigger and who want to make a difference because they care.
