Job Title: Business Development Director
Contract type: Hybrid (home based contract with some client travel)
Must have: Public sector experience (Central or Local government)
Package: £80,000-£100,000 base + uncapped comission + benefits
A global consultancy specialising in digital, data, and technology solutions, with a focus on end-to-end transformation are looking for a Business Development Director to join the Sales team.
Their expertise covers Microsoft Dynamics 365, Power Platform, Azure, application modernisation, data platforms, performance and analytics, fraud detection, grants management, user-centered design, accessibility, and Agile DevOps.
Key Accountabilities
* Responsible for securing new business orders and managing senior stakeholder relationships until delivery is complete.
* Achieving revenue targets by creating leads and opportunities, primarily within the retail and manufacturing sectors.
* Collaborating with presales and delivery teams to ensure tender responses meet deadlines, quality, and budget.
* Preparing client sales proposals.
Key Responsibilities
* Meet new business order targets.
* Build relationships with Microsoft Sales Executives.
* Develop marketing and support plans to generate new opportunities.
Qualifications
* 10+ years of relevant industry Public Sector experience.
* Selling Business Transformation Services within IT
* Familiarity with Microsoft D365 CRM, F&O, Power Platform, SaaS, low-code platforms, AI, automation, or similar technologies
* Experience in Sales, Presales, Delivery, and Governance functions.
* Proven track record in large-scale business application bids £1m+.
* Expertise in contract negotiation and management.
* Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
