The Department: The IT Team is responsible for all aspects of IT across the business, covering User Support, Infrastructure, Security, Data and Development Teams. Job Purpose: This role can be based from Ipswich, Norwich, Cambridge or Chelmsford. The Cloud and Infrastructure Manager is to support the Head of IT by playing a pivotal role in managing and optimizing the businesses cloud-based and on-premise infrastructure. This will incorporate leading the Cloud and Infrastructure team in providing the infrastructure in a highly available, secure, scalable, robust and efficient. Accountabililities: Management and Oversight : Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of cloud systems and IT infrastructure Ensure all infrastructure is highly available, secure, scalable, robust and efficient Strategic Planning : Develop and implement strategies to align IT infrastructure with business goals Plan for scalability and robustness to support future growth Security and Compliance : Ensure that all cloud and infrastructure systems comply with security standards and regulations Implement data protection measures to protect the firms data and assets Performance Monitoring : Monitor the performance of cloud and infrastructure systems Optimise infrastructure for high availability and reliability Intify and resolve issues promptly to maintain high availability and reliability Team Leadership: Manage a team of IT professionals and assist in their development Provide technical support and guidance Collaboration : Work closely with other IT teams, such as application development and cybersecurity, to support new technologies and business initiatives Vendor Management: Manage relationships with cloud service providers. Negotiate contracts and ensure service level agreements are met Budget Management : Plan and manage the budget for all IT infrastructure, ensuring cost-effective investments that align to the business needs Experience Required: 5 years in a senior Infrastructure role Several years of experience in cloud infrastructure management Experience with VMware virtualization, Cisco Network, and Microsoft cloud services
