What You Will Do Raytheon is seeking a Contracts & Commercial Specialist which is a highly valued and key role required to support a functional team within the UK Raytheon business. This position and the expectation are to work as sole expert for a significant programme. You will be a business enabler, supporting the winning and subsequent delivery of a profitable business, making our company one that our customers see as easy to contract with and work with through the delivery of their programmes. This position provides contractual and commercial governance to the team, ensuring all other areas of the business are fully supported in your contracting area, support multiple contracts and provide flexibility as the business requires. Responsibilities - Assistance to the production of business case briefings and financial reporting for senior reviews - Review and approve contracts, gates, financial changes etc within delegation - Provide full support and leadership to contract/agreement negotiations - Provide team support to development, approval and issuance of bids and proposals, whether in response to RFP/ITN etc or as part of the company strategy - Provide guidance on establishing commercial risk and effective mitigation - Ensure processes are followed effectively - Resolve all commercial issues promptly and effectively as point of escalation - Be the champion of change and improvement. Expectations of the role This exciting opportunity has a requirement to travel both, domestically and internationally - (Europe, US. & the Middle East). Desirable Skills - Accreditation in Commercial and Supply Chain management - Eligible to obtain security clearance (SC) beyond baseline personnel security standard (BPSS) - Strong programme management skill set - Risk Management/Programme Metrics - Experience of working with international suppliers or customers Your Skills: - Relevant degree or equivalent experience. - Excellent commercial awareness, business principles and governing law - Experience in all aspects of both commercial and defence contracting - Excellent record of problem solving with an ability to drive performance through others - Excellent communicator and relationship builder at all levels with both internal and external customers - Positive, self-motivated and the ability to work independently.
