What you will do in your working day
* To support the day to day running of the setting.
* To support a nominated Key Worker within the setting, receiving 1:1 training on how Brooklands Cove plan for, observe and assess children’s development.
* To support colleagues and work as a team to provide a safe, caring and stimulating environment for all children in our care.
* To assist in providing a range of stimulating and exciting activities for the children which encourage independence, motivation and an eagerness to learn through play.
* To work as part of the team to ensure that the Early Years Foundation Stage is followed at all times.
* To support the care needs of children such as nappy changing and feeding.
* To work as part of a team to ensure that our setting is clean, tidy and inviting. As a pack away setting this includes some manual handling to ensure the hall is put away at the end of each day.
* As an Early Years apprentice, you will have regular contact with your nursery mentor. You must engage with and follow any targets set in order to ensure progression.
The training you will be getting
Working towards completing level Early Years Educator Apprenticeship Standard. Work based learning with ad hoc workshops at Hertford Regional college with your Assessor.
What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship
There will be opportunities for progression and a possible permanent position subject to performance.
