They are seeking a Supply Chain Supervisor who will take responsibility for securing competitive quotations for bids, overseeing the onboarding and management of new vendors within the accounts system, and collaborating closely with the Procurement Manager to support various purchasing requirements across the business. As the Supply Chain Supervisor, you will adopt a team-oriented approach and will work effectively with Bid and Project teams, while also liaising with Buyers to enhance service levels and drive greater value from the supply chain. In addition to nurturing existing relationships with Suppliers and Subcontractors, there will be a focus on sourcing new supply chain partners where necessary.
Essential Requirements of the Supply Chain Supervisor:
1. Strong interpersonal and negotiating skills, with the ability to engage in a professional and friendly manner.
2. Familiarity with business Terms and Conditions, specifically related to product supply agreements.
3. Possession of CIPS certification at any level, or qualifications such as HND, HNC, or a degree in Business.
4. Proficient in vendor management and maintaining productive supplier relationships.
5. Knowledge of Health & Safety and CDM regulations.
6. Competent in using Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Teams, with general computer literacy.
7. Experience managing subcontractors and fostering effective working relationships.
8. Familiarity with modern electronic Purchase Order systems or accounting software (desired).
9. Prior experience in a purchasing role within the electronics sector (desired).
