Job summary
Our client, an industry-leading company in the aerospace sector, is currently seeking a dedicated Quality Engineer to join their operational team on a permanent basis.

Prior experience within Aerospace sector, knowledge with CAA (Civil Aviation Authority) and/or EASA
As a Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the adherence to quality procedures and standards within the company.
Key responsibilities:
* Plan and execute the internal audit program to ensure adherence to company procedures and recognized standards
* Conduct internal audits across all areas of the business on a continual basis
* Drive investigations and root cause analysis for audit non-conformances
* Schedule, track, and report on supplier quality audits completed by the Supplier Quality Team
* Maintain and communicate quality metrics for tracking and meet targets
* Implement defined quality improvement initiatives
* Provide general support to the Business Management System process
* Cooperate with management to meet employer's legal duties and ensure health and safety
Core competencies:
* Experienced in leading internal audits to recognized aerospace standards
* Proven quality experience in an Aerospace, Defence, or AS9100 environment
* Professional conduct, engaging manner, and good communication skills
* Proven background in maintaining Quality Management Systems
* Planning and scheduling of audits, both internally and within the supply base
* Clear communication skills for reporting on audit findings
* Excellent understanding of root cause analysis and corrective actions
* Attention to detail and a methodical approach
* Ability to use databases to record audits and status
* Self-starter with the ability to work unsupervised and a passion for process improvement
* Additional competencies will be provided through the competency matrix and linked to the relevant job level
Qualifications and Experience:
* Degree qualified or equivalent - desired
* Thorough understanding of Defence and/or Aerospace Quality requirements
* Knowledge of CAA (Civil Aviation Authority) and/or EASA
* Experience with ISO9001, AS9100, and/or AS9110
* Computer numeracy, particularly in Excel
