Job Description
Production Shift Manager
Food Manufacturing
Northamptonshire
£45,000 - £48,000 | Late shift (2pm-10pm)
You're either good at leading people, or you're not.
If you’re the former — and by “good,” I mean someone who can spot a problem, fix it, and bring the team along for the ride without turning into David Brent — then keep reading.
This business is looking for a Department Manager to run the show on the late shift in one of their busiest food production departments. It's not a boring job, and it's definitely not one for clipboard-huggers.
You’ll be leading around 70-80 people. Not from behind a desk, but actually out there, where the food meets the tech and things need to keep moving. You’ll need to make decisions. Spot inefficiencies. Coach people. Improve processes. That kind of stuff.
And no — you don’t need to be a Lean Six Sigma Jedi. But if you’ve got ideas on how to run a tight ship, reduce waste, and actually implement them without a PowerPoint, they’ll probably love you.
They’re not looking for someone to babysit. They want a leader. Someone who knows how to get people performing at their best and isn’t afraid of tough conversations.
