Job Description:
This is a great opportunity for an experienced medical professional, who would love to provide their patients with a much more holistic approach, putting every child first, and with the best interests of children and parents being listened to and heard.
Healthcare4Kids Services Ltd has a growing national reputation for diagnostic behavioural work, the practice attracts UK-wide referrals and enquiries from families, health and educational professionals, and Social Services. The successful applicant will provide neurodevelopmental assessments, diagnoses, and interventions for children and young people to identify anxiety (and other manifestations such as aggression, exhaustion, irritability), attention deficit hyperactivity disorders (ADHD), and autism (ASD).
We are looking to take on a Consultant Paediatrician or Child Psychiatrist with an interest and experience in autism/neurodevelopment. Other special interests to complement the team are welcomed.
The successful applicant has the opportunity to grow with the business as the practice expands, to take on a permanent role, and/or full-time position, and there is scope for leadership roles.
Equal admin to clinical time is allocated, for example, a 4-hour clinic will have 4 hours of admin. Flexible working options and remote admin working may be considered. All clinics to be held on site.
1. Delivering gold standard, NICE compliant ADHD and autism assessments, considering differential and/co-occurring conditions to make diagnostic decisions.
2. Formulating and implementing plans for the treatment and medication of children and young persons using NICE guidelines in line with national/local formularies and Healthcare4Kids expertise.
3. Providing ongoing communication with families, Healthcare4Kids’ team and Primary Care.
4. Using independent prescribing skills and knowledge to complete health assessments, and initiate medication and titrate dosage.
5. Providing consultation and training to other members of staff to develop skills in this area of expertise and clinical supervision and guidance to non-medical prescribers.
6. Working closely with clinical lead to ensure a consistent, gold standard and forward-thinking service.
What we are looking for:
1. Professional qualification as a paediatrician or psychiatrist – MRCPCH or MRCPsych.
2. Registration with the GMC.
3. A clear Enhanced DBS.
4. Experience at a consultant level.
5. A commitment to improving outcomes for children with autism and ADHD.
6. Strong team ethos and the ability to collaborate effectively.
