We have a permanent vacancy within the Operational Support Department working on dayshift.
The role of Manager Contractors is to manage the community of resident contractors (5-10 companies, 200 full-time employees) on the Dalry site, both on an operational and strategic level. The Manager Contractors is the dsm-firmenich liaison and first point of contact for the contractor site managers. The objective of this role is to strive for best value from all contractors by establishing and monitoring KPIs, seeking out innovative solutions to problems, implementing these to maintain/increase quality while maintaining and improving safety standards on the Dalry site.
Your key responsibilities
1. Line Management responsibility for Site Established Contractors.
2. Lead negotiations on new and existing contract services, together with Lead Buyer.
3. Ensure SHE & Q compliance and good housekeeping standards of Contractors.
4. Ensure good communication between contractors and dsm-firmenich, and strive for optimal engagement, connect and culture of contractor population.
5. Negotiate and Manage Service Level Agreements.
6. Ensure that contracts with third party service providers deliver the expected value for money, including a continuous improvement process with each of the contractors, following a relevant governance structure.
7. Define, Monitor and Maintain Key Performance Indicators.
8. Assisting in preparation of information for government agencies (SEPA, HSE etc.).

You bring
1. A proven track record of integrating and monitoring the performance of contractors on a large industrial site.
2. A bachelor’s degree or above in a relevant subject would be desirable but not essential for the right candidate.
3. Other essential behaviours are flexible, good communication and problem-solving skills.
