We are seeking a PPA Cover Teacher to deliver engaging lessons across KS1 and KS2 in a friendly Hull primary school. About the Role: As a PPA Cover Teacher, you will provide high-quality teaching across various year groups, ensuring continuity of learning during teachers' planning, preparation, and assessment (PPA) time. You will create a stimulating and inclusive learning environment that supports pupils' academic and personal development. Key Responsibilities of the PPA Cover Teacher: Deliver engaging and effective lessons across KS1 and KS2, adhering to the National Curriculum. Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages pupil participation and engagement. Collaborate with class teachers and support staff to ensure seamless transitions and continuity of learning. Use formative and summative assessment techniques to monitor pupil progress and inform future teaching. Foster strong relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues to support a cohesive school community. Contribute to whole-school initiatives and activities that promote a positive learning environment. Requirements: To be successful in this role, you should: Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience teaching across KS1 and KS2. Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in different classroom settings. Have a strong understanding of the National Curriculum and effective teaching strategies. Possess excellent classroom management skills and the ability to engage and motivate learners. Be skilled in differentiating instruction to meet the diverse needs of all pupils. Show commitment to maintaining high expectations for both academic achievement and pupil well-being. Have the ability to work collaboratively within a supportive school environment. Be available part-time or full-time and ready to contribute positively to school life. Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years, barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
